Andrew Kirby has spent his adult life up to this point bouncing and bumbling, sometimes aimlessly, from place to place, from craft to craft, picking up the skills and understanding of many many disciplines. he started with a degree in violin making, then moved to the woods, and got to grips with land management, forestry and farming, becoming a teacher of woodland crafts, a basket maker, market gardener and always seeking joy and fulfiment in the act of making things. With this variety of searching and experience came a deep understading of process and systems, and a love for learning about how things work.
now mildly obssessed with musical instruments again, the journy has gone full circle and the degree in musical instrument making is finaly paying off! electronic circuits and sound synthesis fill the mind and one of the outcomes of the past few years of deeply delving into the modular synthesis world can be found here - feed me synthesis !
the name simply comes from the hunger i have found for this subject, a strange and new hunger that i had not felt with my past endevours. i feel it is a hunger that is shared with in the wider communiy of electronic musicians and sonic explorers.
